About

Volunteers will walk through the parking lots and will pick up discarded bottles in parking lots. Volunteers will also monitor, pull and change out bags in the blue Pepsi recycling containers at the move-in tents. University Housing Residential Facilities staff will pick up the bags from the move-in tents and will take the bags to the Arkansas Union loading dock area. Volunteers will assist, encourage, and direct students, move-in volunteers, and staff in recycling cans, bottles, and cardboard. Volunteeers will tak oportunities to unobtrusively engage with and inform students about recycling on the U of A campus.

Volunteers must attend a brief, 15-30 minute orientation to go over recycling information and to receive training on how to engage with students about recycling without disrupting move-in efforts.
