Yalda Celebration - Set up / Clean up

Our event is going on from 6pm to 10pm on Dec 5th. We need volunteers for the set up and the clean up.
Set up: 4:30pm-6:30pm
Clean up: 9:30pm-11:30pm
If you are a current student at the UofA, you are more than welcome to attent the event as well. We have Persian music, poetry and food!
A short description on Yalda:
Yalda is the longest night of the year. Days are going to get longer after Yalda and for this reason this night is celebrated as the night that gives birth to the Sun. Yald has been celebrated by iranian nations through history and has a close root to celebration of Chrismass. Iranian student association aims to celebrate the iranian customs to bring integrity to iranian comunity on campus as well as introducing it to other students who are interested to get involved in such events. This event also aims to conduct cross-cultural activities such as presentations, games and music to familiarize the international and american students with Iranian culture with the emphasis on the similar cultural roots. Additionally, showing how similar cultures can have different shapes around the world such as Yald in Iran, Christmas in christianity and Hanukkah in Judaism.
