NWA Food Bank Garden Volunteering: Service Saturday

Saturday, February 19th, 2022 from 9:30am to 11:30am (CT)
This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

*Meet at St. Thomas Aquinas at 8:30am for some breakfast, and we will carpool from there!
Food Bank Address: 1378 June Self Dr., Springdale, AR 72764. The NWA Food Bank provides millions of pounds in food to those in need in Northwest Arkansas each year, operating a network of Mobile Pantry sites, a school pantry program, and connecting local pantries to food donations to help them operate.
  • Volunteers will be helping at the food bank's Teaching Garden, assisting with hands-on gardening of a variety of fruits and vegetables.
  • Work will be outdoors, so make sure to wear shoes/clothes that can get dirty (it should hopefully be a little warmer/sunnier this weekend but be prepared for some mud!)
  • The NWA Food Bank requests that its volunteers be fully vaxxed - again, we will be outdoors, but bring a mask just in case!
