The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) of Legal Aid of Arkansas is seeking 2-3 volunteers for the spring 2019 semester. The students will receive specialized training in tax-related matters and will conduct client interviews and prepare submissions to the Internal Revenue Service. Training and supervision will be provided by the director of the LITC.
Time and location: Requires a semester-long commitment. The schedule and location of work are flexible. Students must be available twice a week for 2-3 hours during business hours (for 5-6 hours/week total) with the exact schedule to be determined by student. Periodic visits to the LITC office in Springdale may be required.
Eligibility: All interested students are welcome to apply. Rule XV certification and prior tax experience are not required. Requires a semester-long commitment.
