Volunteers shadow local and foreign health professionals (Doctors, Dentists, and Pharmacists) as they provide pro-bono consultations, dental procedures, and medications to patients in rural communities. Volunteers assist with in-take, triage, medication packing, and health education. Volunteers observe dentists during preventative care, cleanings, and extractions. Volunteers learn how to utilize an electronic medical records system, Open MRS, to assist in tracking patient progress. Volunteers engage in evening discussions and educational workshops. Volunteers also participate in a public health day or water day to provide cement floors, water ways, etc.
