About
In the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), faculty and students are working to improve state-of-the-art and create the next generation of technologies. EECS is the largest department in the College of Engineering with four undergraduate degree programs, three graduate certificate programs, three M.S. programs, and three Ph.D. programs. With the highest rate of research in the college, faculty are focusing on cutting-edge technology areas such as power electronics and power systems, artificial intelligence, terahertz imaging, big data, signal processing, cyber security, semiconductor, and more. New research centers created within the department have begun to tackle some of the most pressing issues in tech. These centers connect computer science, electrical engineering, and computer engineering researchers with colleagues from other departments, colleges, universities, and industry stakeholders, making Electrical Engineering and Computer Science a hub for interdisciplinary research involving real-world applications.
