About
Washington County Teen Court is a diversion program for the Juvenile Court Division. We recruit teens ages 14-18 to serve as bailiff, clerk, jurors and attorneys. We have sentencing hearings in which teens arrested for misdemeanors like shoplifting, minor in possession, etc. are sentenced by a jury of their peers. Local attorneys and UA Law students volunteer as judge and as mentors to our attorneys.
