The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is an in-person resource for individuals earning $54,000 or less annually. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. We are recruiting student volunteers to staff our Fayetteville tax centers this Spring. There will be a tax center at the Wellness Center on the University of Arkansas campus as well as at the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club. Volunteers will provide tax assistance to students, staff, and the community at large during the tax season. We will work with our volunteers to create a flexible volunteer schedule that works for them. We ask that each volunteer dedicates a minimum of 12 hours between January 28th - April 8th. Volunteers will work 3-4 hour shifts. This is an amazing opportunity to develop your professional skills while also serving the community.
