ALPFA Student Chapter


History ALPFA was founded in 1972 with a focus on advancing the ideas, careers and reach of Latino business professionals. While our ideals remain the same, we have extended our reach to become an organization inclusive to all professionals with a common goal of expanding leadership capabilities and professional networks. The Northwest Arkansas Chapter has grown exponentially since its founding in 2008. With more than 400 student and professional members, our chapter is now the fourth largest ALPFA chapter in the country behind New York, Chicago and Boston. We welcome all who are interested in developing leadership skills, enhancing diversity in business and bettering our community, no matter your profession or ethnicity. Mission In its fifth years of operations, the ALPFA student Chapter at the University of Arkansas is the premier Latino student association across campus. Currently, the chapter has 50 members and expects to grow significantly in the upcoming year. ALPFA is a registered student organization dedicated to transitioning high school students into college, developing them through leadership and networking, and providing them the skills to succeed in the professional world. Students members engage in ACE ( Advance, Connect, Empower ) through social and professional development events leadership seminars, and community service. Objective To guide our membership through the axiom of ACE (Advance, Connect, and Empower) We Advance students? careers through leadership training We Connect students with professionals and internships and job opportunities We Empower students to be the best leader they can be
