Bayyari Elementary School Garden

Bayyari Elementary School has almost 650 students with 94% qualifying for Free and Reduced Lunch. Our school garden has 29 raised beds and is used by teachers, students, and their families during the school days and often on the weekend. Our students thrilled about all things garden related and will always give up recess to go work in the garden. Our garden is utilized throughout the school days and some weekends, but it oftentimes requires work that cannot be accomplished by small children and busy teachers. We need help with larger projects such as mulching garden paths, setting up the high tunnel, and other things that both make the garden a safe learning space for children and increase it's productivity to provide fresh, healthy food to our students and their families.
