I loved being able to help watch the kids while their parents were able to have some alone time and discuss their experiences.
The Down Syndrome Walk @ Arvest Ball Park
During this event, I stood at a table and passed out water to the runners and encouraged and cheered them on. I really enjoyed knowing that the time I was sacrificing was going towards raising money to aid families impacted by Down Syndrome. This race was not very big (only about 50-70 people participated), so I know that my time was greatly needed. It was fun to cheer on the runners and encourage them throughout the race.
