Super cool, Alan is very passionate about the environment and his job and that rubs off on the people that participate. Can’t wait to come back in the future
We worked with the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust to clear an invasive honeysuckle plant on property that was granted to be a nature preserve. This was part of a larger effort to restore the area back to its original state as a prairie. We cut brush and invasive bushes and collected them in a large burn pile.
There was an enthusiastic team of volunteers on Sunday; we worked together to remove a whole lot of bush honeysuckle. The Land Trust representative provided us with water, snacks, and even a tour of the property once we finished!
Deheaded, cut back and collected seeds from the native plant garden.
I picked up litter around the native garden and rain garden. Afterwards, I removed weeds and non-native plants from both gardens.
