Event Description | Volunteer with Farm Lab, our field trip program !Farm Lab is a curriculum rich field trip that reconnects students with where their food comes from. At our Teaching Farm in Gulley Park, grade-specific standards in math, science and literacy are woven into an investigation of food systems. Volunteers will help set up, lead student groups, and clean up. Parking is available in the Gulley Park parking lot off of Old Wire Road. From there, it’s a short walk north to the gates of the Apple Seeds Teaching Farm. View a Google map of the parking lot and route to the farm here. We recommend wearing clothes that can get dirty (including shoes that may get muddy) and sunscreen. Farm Lab volunteers are required to complete additional training, pass a background check, and prove COVID-19 vaccination status. After you register, Volunteer Coordinator Julia Nall will be in contact with information regarding training. |
