I arrived at 10:30 am to Walker Elementary school and I was placed with Mrs. B's kindergarten class. We went on a field trip to the Amaze Museum in Bentonville, and I was able to befriend ESL and non-ESL students alike throughout the process. I was paired with Mrs. Grafton and were oversaw a group of 5 kindergarteners together!

A tornado touched down in Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday, March 30. This devastating event caused injuries, the demolition of a school, and the destruction of multiple homes. The majority of the damage occurred in Springdale, Arkansas, and tragedy usually affects those in poverty most. In order to try to provide relief to our community, a group of UARK students went to Springdale to clean up damage and rubble. I acted as an interpreter between my group and members of the Springdale neighborhood.
I interpreted for parent teacher conferences at Sonora Middle School.
I interpreted for Parent Teacher conferences at Walker Elementary.

Las Posadas Event was so fun! I enjoyed interpreting and making new friends!
Monday, I received a phone call to interpret between 5-7 pm. I was on call. For Tuesday, I was sent the attached schedule. It was a very enriching experience and I enjoyed practicing my Spanish in a practical setting.
