ASABE Southeastern Student Rally- This year, the Biological Engineering department at U of A decided to host the annual conference for the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. This was over the course of a few days: March 13th-15th. I volunteered on the 13th and 14th to drive visiting students from various states to Mullins Creek on campus and go on a stream restoration tour led by the WCRC. On the 15th, I arrived at the conference at 8 am to help set up workshops and help the committee members with any extra tasks that needed to get completed. I enjoyed my time volunteering and meeting other biological engineering students from across the U.S. in the process!

I enjoyed this volunteer opportunity. I arrived at White Engineering at 4:30 pm to speak to the freshmen engineering students about Biological Engineering for the FEP departmental informational session. I introduced myself and then sat at one of the tables to answer any questions the students had about my major or engineering in general. The session ended around 5:30 pm and it went great!

Engineering Peer Mentor Interviews- I volunteered to be on the interview panel for determining next year's engineering peer mentors. I interviewed 3 students for 45-60 minutes each, asking them questions and rating their answers. I enjoyed this experience and learned a lot from it.

I really enjoyed this volunteer experience! I arrived at 3:30 pm and started peeling potatoes, preparing other parts of the meal, and setting out plates and utensils. Around 6, I helped serve food to people and replaced empty food containers. I am planning on volunteering here again :)

I enjoyed this volunteer experience! I showed up at the farm at 9am and me and about 4 other girls began hammering nails into tarp to patch up holes in a greenhouse. After that, we picked weeds along the edge of the greenhouse. Then, we moved outside to pull weeds out of a row of cabbage plants and left around 12 pm. I would volunteer here again :)

I really enjoyed my volunteer experience with the Fayetteville shelter. I arrived at 4 and served meals to residents and visitors until around 6. I will definitely be coming back!
