Description
Volunteers in Center Campus will have the chance to assist these communities: Buchanan-Droke, Gladson-Ripley, Walton, Founders, Gregson, Gibson, Humphreys, and Yocum.

Please select the shift you would like. The shifts are organized by physical and non-physical duties and shift time (7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). 

Center Campus Move-In volunteers will check in at the tent located on the Humphreys/Founders lawn.  You will receive your Move-In Volunteer hat (if you do not have one from the 2016 Move-In) and you will receive any final instructions related to your Move-In assignment.

Requirements
Campus and community groups and organizations: feel free to wear t-shirts to represent your group!
PerksVolunteers will receive a Move-In hat, a meal ticket to use at a dining hall on campus (upon completion of their volunteer shift) and the satisfaction of meeting a student and helping them move in.

Non-Physical Volunteers will fill the following jobs:

Desk Assistance: These volunteers will assist our professional and RA staff with the administrative functions in the different halls. Duties include:
• Dolly/equipment checkout
• Paperwork

Hospitality: These volunteers will ensure that move-in is a positive experience for all by exemplifying the friendly UA and Fayetteville spirit. Duties include:
• Sitting in the parking lot to give directions
• Giving directions within the halls
• Serving at a hall Q&A table
• Greeting our students and their families

Move-In Assistance: These volunteers will assist with move-in logistics. Duties include:
• Operating part of the key distribution
• Monitoring hall cleanliness/recycling
• Checking how full parking lots are

Physical Volunteers (should be able to lift, carry, walk upstairs, and stand for an extended period of time) will fill the following jobs:

Parking Lot Management: These volunteers will assist with making sure Arkansas students’ and families’ cars are parked and directed in an orderly manner. Duties include:
• Helping park cars in parking lots
• Directing traffic
• Calling in expired parking passes

Move-In Assistance: These volunteers will meet our students and families at their cars to assist in moving their belongings into their new on-campus homes. Duties include:
• Moving boxes/other belongings
• Trash and recycling management
• Giving out water to other volunteers/checking the status of water coolers
