This volunteer opportunity was through Arkansas Children's Hospital! My roommates and I were able to help with Children's annual toy drive. We were tasked with sorting toys, arts and crafts, and books in boxes to be loaded and donated. This was a great opportunity to give back to the community and I can't wait to do it again next year!
This volunteer opportunity was through the College of Engineering! Myself and other students in the EECS department were able to visit with Vandergriff Elementary to help students with their annual Hour of Code! This involved walking around and helping students learn block coding when they were stuck or didn't understand what to do. This was a great event and I can't wait to do it next year!
This volunteer opportunity was through my roommate Juan! Through the mentorship program he helped start at Springdale High School, myself, mentors from the program, and the mentees got to go to Potter's House Thrift Store to help organize all clothing items on the racks as well as reorganize dish items and bottles to their respective sections. This was a great event being able to connect with the mentors and mentees!
I donated 4 books to support the Canopy Refugee Center to support kids ranging from 1-18 years old develop a love for reading. Canopy helps refugees to accommodate to the US a provide a place to engage with the community. I enjoyed donating these books because they were a range of generes that would be interesting to many people, hopefully sparking an interest in reading just like those books did for me. I look forward to seeing the impact of the book drive.

Was a course monitor for Hogeye Marathon. Was a little confused about what was going on when I got there since there was no zone leader (supervisor), but ended up going well nonetheless.
